You will often work in more than one Solavel app and, if you belong to several companies, in more than one organization. This page explains how to move between them without losing your place: where the app list is, what opens in a new tab, what happens when you pick the organization you are already in, and which settings (language and theme) follow you from app to app.
It describes behaviour as of 10 October 2026 and applies to the Solavel portal and to SolaProjects; SolaHR's menu is described in its own pages.

Who can do it: everyone. What you see depends on your organization role, app access and plan.
Opening apps

The first tab stays where it was, so you can keep the portal open as a launcher and the app in another tab, and close either without losing the other. If nothing seems to happen, your browser may have blocked the pop-up: allow pop-ups for solavel.com.
The tiles in an app's account menu are a convenience, not a permission. They list the apps Solavel says you may open in that organization (checked together and remembered for 5 minutes, so a brand-new grant can take a few minutes to appear). Each app checks your access again when it opens.
Switching organization

Each app works in one organization at a time. To work in another organization inside an app, switch inside the app, or open the app again from Workspace Home after choosing the organization there.
Language and theme follow you
- Language. Pick it with the globe in the portal's top bar; the portal lists all 11 languages. Your choice is remembered in your browser (shared across solavel.com pages) and, if you save Preferred language in Account Settings → Preferences, in your account. SolaProjects, SolaStock and SolaHR have English and Arabic only and show English when your preferred language is another one.
- Theme. The sun/moon button changes the theme for that app in this browser. Account Settings → Appearance sets a default for your account that your apps adopt when you open them.
- Right-to-left. Arabic and Urdu mirror the layout; menus in the SolaProjects top bar open from the correct side.

Small screens
On phones the sidebar becomes a drawer. In SolaProjects the drawer also closes by itself if the window width changes (rotating a tablet, resizing a window), but not when only the height changes, for example when the keyboard opens. Language, theme and notifications move into the account menu on phones. See Mobile.
Worked examples
Example 1: Mariam checks stock, then projects
Mariam Al Hashimi owns Al Noor Trading LLC and Al Noor Logistics FZE.
- She signs in to solavel.com. Workspace Home shows the apps of Al Noor Trading LLC.
- She clicks Open app on SolaProjects. It opens in a new tab on the SolaProjects Dashboard.
- She wants to look at SolaStock. Instead of going back, she opens the account menu in the top bar of SolaProjects and clicks the SolaStock tile. SolaStock opens in a third tab.
- Back in SolaProjects she clicks the organization pill, then Al Noor Trading LLC (the one she is already in). The menu closes and the page stays as it is.
- She then picks Al Noor Logistics FZE. The Dashboard of that organization opens with Switched to Al Noor Logistics FZE.
Example 2: Omar's phone and language
Omar Haddad has saved Français as his preferred language and Dark as his theme.
- On his phone he opens Workspace Home: French, dark, with the sidebar as a drawer.
- He opens SolaProjects from a card. It opens in a new tab, in dark mode, in English (SolaProjects has no French).
- On the phone the top bar has no language or theme buttons; he finds them in the account menu. He taps the language entry (it reads العربية) to read a page in Arabic, then taps it again to return to English.
- He rotates the phone while the sidebar drawer is open. The drawer closes by itself.
