Every Solavel app uses a sidebar on the left (on the right in Arabic and Urdu) as its main way to move around, plus a top bar for search, notifications, language and theme. This page describes the Solavel portal sidebar and how navigation works in each app.

At the bottom: Documentation (opens these docs in a new tab), your name and photo (opens Account Settings) and Sign out.
Switch organization
- Click the organization box under Current organization.
- The Switch organization dialog lists your organizations. Click one.
- You stay on the same kind of page (for example Members) for the new organization. Clicking the organization you are already in just closes the dialog; nothing reloads (since 10 October 2026).
The same rule holds in the apps: choosing the organization you are already in changes nothing. In SolaProjects the organization switcher is the pill in the top bar.
Manage organizations and Create organization links sit at the bottom of the dialog.
Top bar
- Breadcrumb (Client Portal → Workspace Home / Workspace).
- Search apps… — Ctrl/⌘ + K.
- Notifications bell (Notifications).
- Globe — language menu with all 11 languages (Languages).
- Moon/sun — Switch to dark mode / Switch to light mode.
A floating SolaBot button opens the help assistant (Solavel AI).

Collapse and expand
- SolaCount — the sidebar collapses to the icon rail. The choice is remembered in your browser. It starts collapsed on screens 1024 px wide or narrower.
- SolaStock — collapse button at the edge of the sidebar.

What decides what you see
Menus are built from your access. An item is shown only when all of these allow it:
- Your organization role (Owner, Organization Manager, Member, Viewer).
- Your app role and, for scoped roles, your assigned warehouses or departments.
- The organization's plan.
In SolaCount, plan-locked items show "Requires plan" or "Upgrade to unlock". A whole section disappears when none of its pages are allowed for you. Apps you cannot open are hidden from SolaCount's navigation rather than shown locked.
Tips
- A menu item disappeared after switching organization. Your role or the plan differs there. Switch back or ask the owner.
- Billing is missing. Only Owners see it.
- A link from a colleague says access denied. Access is checked again whenever a link opens. Make sure you are in the same organization and have the role.
