This guide takes you from an empty SolaProjects workspace to a running project with a team, tasks and a first plan. It takes about 15 minutes.
Where to find it
- Portal: Workspace Home → Your apps → SolaProjects → Open app.
- URL:
/projects/dashboard(the app always starts on the Dashboard).
Before you start
| Check | Who does it | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your organization has a SolaProjects plan (Free or higher, or a SolaCount bundle that includes it). | Organization owner | Portal → Subscriptions |
| You have a SolaProjects role: Projects Administrator, Projects Manager (with a creation grant if you will create projects) or Projects Member. Owners have full access automatically. | Owner or a team manager | Portal → Team |
| The people you will add to projects also have SolaProjects access. Only active members with SolaProjects access can be added to projects or assigned work. | Owner or a team manager | Portal → Team |
| Optional: SolaCount is connected if you want project finance. | Owner or Finance administrator | SolaProjects → Integrations |
If you can open the app but do not see New project on the Projects page, your role does not allow creating projects. Ask an owner for the Projects Administrator role or a project creation grant.

Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| New project is missing. | Your role cannot create projects. Ask for Projects Administrator or a project creation grant. |
| "Your plan allows up to 5 projects…" | You are on Free and already have 5 projects. Archive is not enough — upgrade the SolaProjects plan. |
| A colleague is not in the Add member list. | They need an active organization membership and SolaProjects access in the Portal, and must not already be on the project. |
| The AI, Automations or Integrations tab is missing. | Your plan does not include it. See Plans. |
| You see Status not confirmed after saving. | Click Check current status (it opens in a new tab, so your page and unsaved text stay open) and confirm whether the change saved before submitting again. |
| Your very first Open app from the portal did not get you into SolaProjects. | A fault in the first sign-in of a brand-new person was fixed on 12 October 2026. Go back to Workspace Home and click Open app again; if it still fails, tell your administrator. |
| Opening SolaProjects took you to a Solavel portal page. | Your organization has no current SolaProjects plan. See Plan access and upgrade links. |
