My Tasks

Last updated

My Tasks is your personal task list across every project you can see. It puts the tasks assigned to you at the top, ordered by priority and due date, so you can see what to work on next without opening each project. It is a read-only list: you review here, click a task to go to its project's Tasks tab, and make changes there.

Use it at the start of the day or when you are planning your week. Everyone with SolaProjects access can use it — members, managers, administrators and owners.

Where to find it

How Details
Sidebar Menu → My Tasks (circle-check icon).
Top bar Quick add (plus button) → My tasks, or account menu → My tasks. See Top bar and account menu.
Keyboard Press G then T (outside a text field).
Command palette Ctrl K (Cmd K on Mac) → type My Tasks.
URL /projects/my/tasks.

Who sees it: every active organization member with a SolaProjects role (or the owner), on every plan.

Which tasks are included: tasks in projects you can see — including archived projects you still have access to:

Your access Projects whose tasks appear
Organization owner or Projects Administrator Every project in the organization (except any project you are explicitly restricted from).
Projects Manager or Projects Member Projects where you are a member on the project's Team tab.

Important: the list is not limited to tasks assigned to you. Your own tasks come first, followed by the other tasks in those projects. An administrator who sees every project therefore sees every task in the organization after their own. Use the order — and the Dashboard's Latest tasks card, which is strictly yours — to focus on your work.

Screen tour

The page is an ordinary page with a title, not a full-screen board. (Until 10 October 2026 it was wrongly drawn like a project's Kanban board, edge to edge with no title.) There is no breadcrumb row on this page, because the title says where you are.

Area Element Details
Page title My Tasks and the line "Tasks across your projects — yours first, then by priority and due date." Tells you what the list contains and in what order.
Top right of the title Status switch: All, To do, In progress, Review, Done A row of five small buttons; the selected one is filled. All is selected when the page opens. Clicking another button returns you to page 1 of that status.
Main area Task table 15 tasks per page.
Below the table Pager Prev, Page N of M · T total, Next. Shown only when there is more than one page.

There are no header buttons, no bulk actions and no row menu on this page.

Columns

Column Meaning
Task Task key in grey (for example ALN-FIT-14 ·) followed by the task title. The key is the project code plus a number. The title is a link: it opens the Tasks tab of that project.
Project Name of the project the task belongs to. The name is a link: it opens that project's Overview. Shows — if the project is not available.
Status Task status badge: Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Review, Done or Cancelled.
Priority None, Low, Medium, High or Urgent (or — when not set).
Due Short due date. Shown in red bold when the date has passed and the task is not Done. — when there is no due date.

Sort order

The order is fixed — you cannot sort by clicking a column header:

  1. Tasks assigned to you first, then all other tasks.
  2. Within each group, priority High, then Medium, then everything else (Urgent, Low, None).
  3. Then by due date, earliest first; tasks without a due date come before dated ones.
  4. Then newest task first.

Because only High and Medium are ranked, an Urgent task sorts together with Low and None tasks. Check the Priority column, not just the position.

Click the task title. You land on the Tasks tab of its project. To change the task there:

  1. Find the task by its key (for example ALN-FIT-14) in the Tasks tab search, if it is not already visible. Open it.
  2. Change its status, assignee, dates or checklist, add comments, or log time.

Click the project name instead if you want the project's Overview.

Worked examples

Example 1 — Sara's Monday list

Sara Khan is a Projects Member on Al Noor Showroom Fit-out (ALN-FIT) and Dubai Main Warehouse Racking (DMW-RCK). Today is 5 October.

Task Project Status Priority Due
ALN-FIT-14 · Install display lighting Al Noor Showroom Fit-out In Progress High Oct 2 (red)
DMW-RCK-7 · Confirm racking load test Dubai Main Warehouse Racking Todo High Oct 6
ALN-FIT-21 · Order signage Al Noor Showroom Fit-out Todo Medium Oct 9
DMW-RCK-3 · Site safety induction Dubai Main Warehouse Racking Done Low Sep 28
ALN-FIT-9 · Paint showroom walls (assigned to Omar) Al Noor Showroom Fit-out Review High Oct 3 (red)

The first four rows are Sara's; the fifth belongs to Omar Haddad and appears because it is in one of Sara's projects. Sara clicks the title ALN-FIT-14 · Install display lighting. The Al Noor Showroom Fit-out Tasks tab opens, and she moves the task to Review.

Example 2 — an administrator's review queue

Omar Haddad is the Projects Administrator at Al Noor Trading LLC with 9 active projects and 240 tasks.

  1. He clicks Review in the Status switch. The pager shows Page 1 of 2 · 18 total.
  2. His own three review tasks are at the top. The next 15 belong to his team, High priority first.
  3. He notices JVR-4 · Submit permit drawings (Jumeirah Villa Renovation) with a red due date of Sep 30.
  4. He clicks the title JVR-4 · Submit permit drawings. The Jumeirah Villa Renovation Tasks tab opens. He opens JVR-4, approves the drawings and sets it to Done.
  5. Back on My Tasks (the Review button is still selected), the total drops to 17.

Tips and common problems

Problem Cause Fix
I see tasks that are not mine. The list shows all tasks in your visible projects, with yours first. Use the order: your tasks are at the top. For a strictly personal view use the Dashboard's Latest tasks.
A task I was assigned is missing. You are no longer a member of its project, or the filter hides its status (Backlog/Cancelled show only under All). Click All in the Status switch; ask a project Manager to add you on the Team tab.
Clicking the row background does nothing. Only the task title and the project name are links. The list itself is read-only. Click the title to open the project's Tasks tab.
An Urgent task is low in the list. Only High and Medium are ranked first. Check the Priority column.
No tasks with this status, but I have tasks. The switch hides other statuses. Click All.
A task I just completed still shows as open. My Tasks does not refresh by itself (there is no timer). Click a Status button or reload the page.
The page looks like a board with no title. You are on an old cached copy from before 10 October. Reload the page (Ctrl+F5).
Unable to load this page. Network or session issue. Click Retry; reload and sign in if your session expired.
