Project Groups (also called portfolios) bundle related projects so you can see their combined health, progress, open work and budget in one place. Group by client ("Client: Meem Trading"), by month ("June 2026 Work"), by product, by roadmap ("Q3 Roadmap") or for internal work.
The organization owner creates and maintains groups; everyone else with SolaProjects access can browse them. A group never gives anyone access to a project — each person only sees the projects (and figures) they could already see.
Where to find it

Availability: the item appears only when Project Groups is enabled for your workspace. When it is hidden, the URL shows nothing.
Who sees it: every active member with a SolaProjects role (or the owner). Only the organization owner sees New group, Add projects, Edit and Delete group.

Tasks
Create a group

Click New group (or Create group in the empty state).

Fill in New project group:

Click Create group. You see Group created. and the group opens.
Errors: Creating groups is disabled or not permitted. (not the owner) · Could not create the group.
Add projects to a group
- Open the group and click Add projects.
- Add projects to group: "Pick projects to group here. A project can only be in one group at a time — picking one already grouped moves it here."
- Tick projects (projects already in this group are not listed). If none remain: "Every visible project is already in this group."
- Click Add (N). You see N projects added.
Only projects you may edit are moved; others you ticked are skipped silently.
Remove a project from a group
- Click ✕ Remove from group on the row.
- Confirm Remove project from group — "The project will leave this group. The project and its data will be kept."
- You see Removed project name. The project becomes ungrouped.
Edit a group
- Click Edit.
- Change Name, Description, Owner or Health in Edit group.
- Click Save changes → Group updated. (Errors: Editing is disabled or not permitted. / Could not update the portfolio.)
Delete a group
- Click 🗑 Delete group.
- Confirm Delete group — "Name — The group will be removed. Its projects are kept and removed only from this group."
- You see Group deleted. Its projects were kept. and return to the list. All its projects become ungrouped.
Group health
The badge shows the worse of two values:
- Manual health — what the owner set (On track / At risk / Off track).
- Derived health — from the projects you can see in the group:

So a group marked On track still shows At risk if one of its projects is delayed, and a group the owner marked Off track never shows On track. The At risk counter counts projects with At risk, Blocked, Delayed, Warning or Off track health.
Roll-up rules

Worked examples
Example 1 — a client group
Fatima (owner of Al Noor Trading LLC) creates Client: Meem Trading, owner Omar Haddad, health On track, ticking Al Noor Showroom Fit-out and Meem Warehouse Signage → Group created. The strip shows Projects 2 · At risk 0 · Open tasks 31 · Avg progress 44%.
Example 2 — health and budget roll-up
- Fatima adds Jumeirah Villa Renovation (health Delayed, budget AED 250,000, actual cost AED 270,000) → 1 project added.
- The group badge changes to At risk although she set On track; At risk shows 1.
- Budget used reads 395,000 / 450,000 (88 %). The villa row shows 270,000 / 250,000.
- She removes the villa project (moving it to its own Jumeirah Clients group) → Removed Jumeirah Villa Renovation. The badge returns to On track.
- Sara Khan, a member only of Al Noor Showroom Fit-out, opens the same group and sees Projects 1 — only her project counts.

Tips and common problems
