The big changes

Change In one sentence Where to read more
Internal Consumption (10 Oct) Issue materials to your own workshops, branches and projects, return what was not used, and report the cost; with SolaCount connected the expense is booked automatically. Internal Consumption
Landed Costs (8-10 Oct) Add freight, duty and insurance to goods you already received; the stock is revalued and the sold share goes to cost of sales. Landed Costs
Documents from SolaCount (6-9 Oct) Supplier bills, invoices and cash sales sent by your accountant now arrive in SolaStock as Receiving Requests, Fulfillment Requests and Cash sale dispatch. Receiving Requests, Fulfillment Requests, Cash Sale Dispatch
Supplier returns (8-9 Oct) Send received goods back to the supplier from the receipt page, without reversing the receipt. Supplier Returns
Warehouse notifications (7-8 Oct) A bell in the top bar tells warehouse staff what needs receiving or dispatching, in their language, once per change. Warehouse notifications
Item type controls stock tracking (10 Oct) The item type alone decides whether an item tracks stock, and an item with stock history keeps its type. Items

  • Edit or delete an internal consumption draft. A Draft issue or return now has Edit draft and Delete draft. You need the permission that creates that kind of document (Create consumption issues or Return unused consumption) and the draft's warehouse; approved and posted documents stay locked. Every edit and deletion is written to the inventory audit log. See Edit or delete a draft.
  • Pick consumption accounts by name. The Consumption expense account on items and categories is now a searchable account picker (code · name) instead of a number box. It is greyed out without Override internal-consumption expense account. The line Account override has the same search box. See Items and Settings.
  • Every SolaCount event has a name. The integration events page now names and filters every event type, including Internal consumption issued / returned, Purchase order approved, Goods receipt reversed, Supplier return posted / reversed, Landed cost posted / reversed, Sales return reversed and Historical FIFO cost corrected. See Integration events page.
  • Stock Ledger label. Internal consumption rows read Internal consumption in the Source column (Arabic الصرف الداخلي). See Stock Ledger.
  • Item type names in messages. The item form hints and the item type messages now use the form's names, Inventory, Non-inventory and Service, instead of "stock" and "non-stock". See Item types.
  • Landed costs plan wording confirmed. "Landed costs are available from the SolaStock Professional plan." is correct: landed costs are included in the Professional, Premium and Enterprise plans. See Landed Costs.
  • Documentation in the account menu. The account menu has a Documentation tile, with the black Solavel logo, after your other apps. It opens these SolaStock guides in a new tab. See SolaStock overview.
  • Connection status and recovery. The status of the SolaCount connection is more dependable: the health of the delivery service is now read from the platform supervisor's own heartbeat in every environment, and a delivery that was interrupted after SolaCount accepted it but before SolaStock recorded the acknowledgement is recovered automatically when its lease expires. An event stopped because the transaction currency was disabled in SolaCount can be retried after an administrator enables the currency. An organization that uses SolaStock on its own, with no SolaCount chart of accounts, is never reported as having valid account mappings. See SolaCount.
  • Valuation "as at" a date. The Inventory Valuation report with an As at date now includes landed costs dated up to that day, and its currency is the verified base currency of a connected organization. See Reports.

11 October 2026

  • Adjustments show the real values. A posted or reversed adjustment now shows its actual value in the list, on its page (each line's Unit cost) and in the Adjustment Report, taken from the ledger, so a decrease no longer shows 0.00. The Audit tab lists the real events of that document only: Draft adjustment created, Adjustment posted, Adjustment reversed, with the recorded changes. See Adjustments.

10 October 2026

  • Internal Consumption launched. New first item in the Operations group of the sidebar: issues, returns of unused materials, a cost preview on each line, an optional approval step, a consumption report by item, department and project, and automatic expense posting in SolaCount. Six new permissions, translated in role management, and default bundles for the built-in roles. Serial-numbered units are returned whole, a return can never exceed what is outstanding, and returns come back at the original cost. See Internal Consumption.
  • Expense account rules. For a connected organization the consumption expense account is chosen line override, then item default, then category default, then the connection default, and an invalid choice is refused instead of silently replaced. Category defaults are edited on the category row. See Settings.
  • Item type controls inventory tracking. The Track inventory box on an item is read-only and follows the Item type. An item cannot be switched between stock and non-stock once it has stock balances or any stock movement; the message explains, in English and Arabic, what to do: keep the old item for its history and create a new item with the right type. New item options: Available for sale and Available for purchase, and a Consumption expense account. See Items.
  • Non-stock items without an inventory unit. Non-inventory items and services can be saved and synchronized to SolaCount without a unit. See Catalog Synchronization.
  • Landed Costs opens directly. The Landed Costs screens now load when you open or refresh their address (they used to depend on arriving from the menu). See Landed Costs.
  • Switching organization. Choosing the organization you are already in from the organization menu now does nothing instead of reloading the app. See SolaStock overview.
  • Top bar and sidebar. The top bar resizes properly on small screens, dropdown menus stay on screen on phones, and a sidebar drawer that was open closes when the window width changes (for example when you rotate a tablet). See SolaStock overview.
  • Ledger links. The Stock Ledger links internal consumption rows to their document. See Stock Ledger.

9 October 2026

  • Supplier returns from the receipt page. Return to supplier on a posted goods receipt records goods leaving for the supplier (SPR-…), at your costing method, with a supplier credit prepared for the accountant. The receipt page also shows the bill status from the last synchronization. See Supplier Returns and Goods Receipts.
  • Receipt quantities on phones. The lines table of a goods receipt scrolls sideways and shows quantities without trailing zeros, so received, accepted and rejected figures stay readable on a phone. See Goods Receipts.
  • Customer and cash returns. Returning goods of a cash sale and credits of undelivered quantities are handled without double counting: a credit closes only demand that has not left, a cancelled remainder is never touched twice, and a return of a SolaCount invoice's goods hands the accountant a credit to prepare. Reversing a return that has a posted customer credit tells you to ask the accountant to reverse the credit first, in your language. See Sales Returns and Fulfillment Requests.
  • Landed costs by plan. Landed costs are available when the plan includes them, with no per-organization switch-on; posting to SolaCount waits only for the clearing account. See Landed Costs.
  • Journal values. The value on a posted document's accounting entry no longer depends on which warehouses the viewer is assigned to, and reversals of documents born before the connection stay out of SolaCount. SolaCount journals behind cash hand-overs are checked against a signed fingerprint before goods move. See SolaCount.

8 October 2026

  • Landed costs added on posted receipts, for connected and stand-alone organizations. See Landed Costs.
  • Cash sale dispatch. A screen for the warehouse to confirm what physically left for a cash sale, with safe retry of a lost connection and a hold while a cash refund is under review. It appears only where the cash hand-over is enabled. See Cash Sale Dispatch.
  • Invoices can claim an open sales order. A SolaCount invoice can be linked to an existing open sales order instead of creating a duplicate; shipping that order natively is then blocked until the request is approved. See Fulfillment Requests.
  • Catalog synchronization page. A page for administrators listing items, units and categories waiting to reach SolaCount, with the reason and a retry button. See Catalog Synchronization.
  • Opening stock reversal is now its own document (REV-OS-…) and sends the exact inverse to SolaCount; stock count surpluses and adjustment increases without a typed cost are valued at the item's current cost instead of 0.00. See Opening Stock, Stock Counts and Adjustments.
  • Notifications reach the right people. Warehouse alerts are limited to members with receiving or dispatch authority in that warehouse and re-checked when opened; integration administrators are also told when a customer, supplier or catalog sync needs a person. See Warehouse notifications.
  • Local dates. Dates default to your own calendar day on purchase orders, sales orders and receipts and are stored without time-zone shifts. See Purchase Orders.

7 October 2026

  • Receiving requests with warehouse approval. Supplier bills sent from SolaCount are approved for a warehouse and received in parts; a cancelled attempt is kept in history. See Receiving Requests.
  • Fulfillment requests and credits. Invoices arrive as fulfillment requests; approving one creates the sales order. A credit for goods not yet delivered shows in Credited undelivered and closes that demand. See Fulfillment Requests.
  • Warehouse notifications (bell) for purchases, in English and Arabic, with no repeated alerts. Sales and cash-sale alerts followed on 7 and 8 October. See Warehouse notifications.
  • Default warehouse. A new organization gets Main Warehouse, and new documents pre-select the default warehouse you may use. See Warehouses.
  • Suppliers and customers stay in sync. Parties are synchronized continuously; ambiguous matches go to an explicit review instead of being guessed. See SolaCount.

6 October 2026

  • Easier connection review. The start date is suggested from your device (and clearly marked as not yet saved), a changed review shows Records changed since this review with Refresh review, a decision error appears beside the exact record, and the review can be prepared before activation. The final button reads Connect to SolaCount. See SolaCount.
  • Receiving requests first appear. Purchase receiving requests are scoped to warehouses, and goods receipts made from them are handed back to SolaCount durably. Base-currency purchase defaults flow into the catalog, a receipt's currency is resolved safely, and warehouses that are not mapped in SolaCount no longer block an approved connection. See Receiving Requests and Goods Receipts.

What to check after this update

  1. Administrators: review who should hold the new internal consumption permissions and the permissions needed for the new screens (approve receiving requests, returns, adjustments for landed costs) in Team access and Settings.
  2. Connected organizations: choose the landed cost clearing account (Landed Costs), set the Default internal-consumption expense account on the SolaCount page, and make sure the connection includes internal consumption. See SolaCount.
  3. Item owners: check items whose tracking and type disagree (a notice says so) and set Available for sale / purchase where needed. See Items.
  4. Everyone: the sidebar now lists Operations first; find the new items under Purchasing and Sales / Fulfillment.
