Current Stock

Current Stock shows what you hold right now: one row per item and stock location, with quantity on hand, reserved, available and sellable, average cost and value. It is read-only — stock only changes through documents such as opening stock, adjustments, transfers, goods receipts and shipments, and every change is recorded in the Stock Ledger.

Use it to answer "how many do we have, where, and what is it worth?" Warehouse staff use it before picking or transferring; managers and accountants use it to check value.

Screen tour

The page has a title Current Stock and one table. There are no buttons, filters or search on this page.

How rows work:

• A row is one stock coordinate: an item in a warehouse, plus the bin, lot and serial when those are used. A lot-tracked item has a row per lot; a serial-tracked item has a row per serial. Lot and serial numbers are not shown here; see Traceability.
• Rows are sorted by Value, highest first, and the page shows the first 50 rows. For a complete list use the Warehouse Stock or Inventory Valuation report in Reports, the warehouse's Stock tab, or the item page.
• A row that has gone to 0 stays listed with 0 on hand.
• Only inventory items appear. Service and non-inventory items never hold stock.
• Quantities show up to four decimals.

Empty state: No stock balances.

When stock is Quarantined

A row's Status is Quarantined and Sellable is 0 when:

• it sits in a bin of type Quarantine or Damaged, or
• its lot or serial has status quarantined, recalled, damaged or retired.

The stock still counts in On hand and Value. Move it to a normal bin with a transfer, or release the lot in Traceability, to make it sellable.

Tasks

Check how much of an item you have

1. Open Stock → Current Stock and find the item's rows (one per warehouse/bin/lot).
2. For a total across warehouses, open the item (Catalog → Items → SKU): Overview shows On hand, Available, Reserved and Total stock value for all your warehouses.

Check a warehouse's stock

Open Catalog → Warehouses → the warehouse → Stock tab (Item, On hand, Available, Value, every row).

Find out why a number changed

Open the item → Movements tab, or Stock Ledger filtered by the item and warehouse. The Running quantity column walks you to the current figure.

Change stock

You never edit this page. Use:

Low stock

An item is Low on its page when its total available quantity is at or below its Reorder point. Per-warehouse reorder rules (Settings → Reorder Planning) drive the Dashboard's low-stock alerts and the Low Stock report. You see low stock:

• as a Low badge and banner on the item page: "Available stock (8) is at or below the reorder point (10).",
• in Dashboard Needs attention banners,
• in the Low Stock report.

The Low filter on Items and the Dashboard Low stock tile use a fixed threshold instead (more than 0 and at most 5 available).

Valuation

Each item is valued by its costing method:

• Weighted average — each receipt re-averages the unit cost. Average cost is that cost.
• FIFO (cost layers) — each receipt keeps its own cost; issues use the oldest layer first. Average cost here is value ÷ quantity.

On the item page, View valuation / FIFO layers & valuation shows the layers and checks "Cost layers add up to the on-hand quantity." (or Needs review).

Example 1 — Before picking (quick)

Sara Khan checks USB-C Charger 30W (CHG-USB-C) in Jebel Ali: On hand 120, Reserved 30, Available 90, Sellable 90, Average cost 24.5000, Value 2,940.00. She can pick an order of 60.

Example 2 — Mixed locations and quarantine (full)

Al Noor Trading LLC, item iPhone 15 Pro 256 GB (FIFO), after a month of activity:

(With serial tracking each unit is its own row; the table groups them for readability.) Total on hand is 25 and value AED 96,650. Two phones returned damaged sit in quarantine bin Q-01: they are valued but cannot be shipped. Omar transfers one repaired phone from Q-01 to A-01; that row becomes sellable.

• Fed by every posted document; history in Stock Ledger.
• Value totals feed the Dashboard, Reports and, when connected, SolaCount (SolaCount integration).
• Reservations come from sales orders (Sales & fulfillment).
