This page lists what changed in SolaCount's purchasing, banking, accounting, fixed-asset, reporting and SolaStock-connection areas between 5 and 12 October 2026, in plain words and with links to the pages that explain each change in full. Dates are the day the change was made. Sales-side changes (customers, quotes, orders, invoices, customer payments, credit notes, customer refunds, advances, the customer portal, the top bar and roles) are described on their own pages.
If you only read one part: supplier balances and payable reports now come from one source and agree with each other (11 October); bills with SolaStock stock items have a full receiving workflow (6 to 9 October); and the chart of accounts opens in List View with a faster, responsive Folder View (11 October).
12 October
- Payable Summary columns renamed. The Billed and Paid columns, on screen and in the PDF (including the PDF totals), are now AP increases and AP decreases, the same names as the tiles. The figures are unchanged. See Payable reports.
- Opening balance corrections are named. On the Supplier Statement and Payable Detail (screen, PDF and Excel) a correction made through Correct opening balance reads Opening balance correction, and on the journal list its source reads Opening Balance Correction, instead of a raw code. See Payables reports and Journal entries.
- Review receipt link. On a draft bill that needs a manual SolaStock link, the action button and the page it opens are now both called Review receipt link (they were Link Stock source; credit notes keep that name). See Bills and Connecting SolaCount and SolaStock.
- Menus stay on screen. Dropdown menus on every SolaCount page, such as dashboard card menus and list row menus, now open inside the window; when there is no room below, they open upwards.
- Documentation in the account menu. A Documentation row with the black Solavel logo opens the SolaCount guides in a new tab. See Top bar, search, favorites and the account menu.
- Fixed assets: balances follow the lifecycle. Draft assets no longer count in portfolio totals or in the register. Reversing an earlier depreciation run keeps later charges. A disposed asset shows its accumulated depreciation at disposal. Transfers are validated before they are queued for approval. See Fixed assets.
- Asset reports link to the asset and the journal, and the Excel files are bilingual. The register reconciles to the ledger with a Reconciliation Difference; Excel keeps your date, status and category filters; titles, headings and summary labels follow the page language. In the journal list, fixed-asset entries open their asset or depreciation run. See Fixed assets and Journal entries.
- Project financials. The Projects page shows Posted project financials (revenue, costs and profit from posted project-tagged lines) with its scope note. A project's outstanding receivables and payables now subtract credit and debit notes that were actually applied, and include unpaid project expenses. See Project profitability.
- Rental exports. Rental report pages open without filters, the rent roll CSV keeps the selected filter chip, and negative amounts read
-99.20in Arabic. See Rentals. - Clearing accounts on supplier bills. Account lines on a bill can now use the organization's Asset Clearing account and, in a SolaStock-connected organization, the Landed Cost Clearing account, for freight, customs and equipment-in-transit bills. See Bills.
11 October
- One payables ledger. The supplier profile, Supplier Statement, Payable Summary and Detail, Vendor Balance Summary and the aging reports are built from the posted accounts-payable ledger. Labels read AP increases and AP decreases; the aging reports end with a Gross-to-net reconciliation; the Excel files carry the same figures. See Payables reports and Suppliers.
- Purchases Overview matches aging. Bills Payable and Overdue use the aging balances (after payments and applied debit notes), and the expense tile counts only posted expenses. See Purchases Overview.
- Supplier refunds and credits. A refund cannot be dated before its debit note, must go to a cash or bank asset account, and is safe against double clicks. Refund journals carry the Supplier Refund label and link back. Cash-basis income statements treat a received refund as realizing the credit. See Supplier refunds.
- Foreign-currency credits settle at their carrying value. Applying or refunding a foreign debit note posts the exchange difference to realized FX gain or loss. See Multi-currency and Debit notes.
- AP Excel exports follow the screen. Bills, expenses, purchase orders, debit notes, supplier refunds and supplier payments export the filtered rows, in the columns and language you see. Purchase-order conversion needs a valid default purchases account for lines that have no account. See Bills, Expenses and Purchase orders.
- Opening balance cutoffs. Reports dated before an opening-balance correction keep the original amount. See Payables reports.
- Recurring purchases. Recurring bills and expenses show the right supplier and the document's real status on the template page, and the recurring screens are translated, including right-to-left button order. See Recurring.
- Banking. Bank list balances and the Net Balance tile are in base currency; Bank Summary has a single Total Balance that matches on screen, in PDF and in Excel; cash ledgers are excluded from bank screens and reports; the reconciliation reports and their PDFs are translated. See Banking.
- Foreign bank quantities and advances. A foreign-currency bank line keeps its own quantity when an advance is applied; carrying differences go to separate lines. See Multi-currency.
- First VAT period. Organization setup step 2 has a First VAT Period Start date. See Taxes & VAT.
- Posting controls, year-end close and audit. Reversals and posting lock the entry so double submissions cannot post twice; closing journals are left out of cash-flow and performance reports and are labelled Fiscal Year; changes to the lock date, decimals and posted-document switches are audited. See Journal entries, Fiscal years, periods and lock dates and Settings.
- Journal sources are translated. The Source column, filter and banner name each workflow in your language. See Journal entries.
- Chart of accounts. List View is the default; Folder View is a responsive three-pane explorer with compact rows, no tick boxes, readable dark mode and bounded navigation. See Chart of accounts.
- Budget forms redesigned. Sections as cards, translated labels, dark mode, a grid that rebuilds when you change the dates or period type, and a stable budget picker on the budget reports. See Budgets.
- Receipt upload and OCR controls are styled for dark mode. See Bills.
- Connected inventory actions go to SolaStock. New Landed Cost and New Adjustment open SolaStock's own screens; unavailable stock exports on an item are hidden instead of failing. See Connecting SolaCount and SolaStock.
10 October
- Purchasing role. A default Purchasing role can manage suppliers and draft purchase orders, bills and debit notes without posting or paying. See Suppliers and Bills.
- Payment methods and accounts. Expense and supplier payment forms offer the six standard methods to organizations that had none, and the account list follows the method (Cash shows cash accounts, other methods bank accounts). See Expenses and Payments.
- Item availability, tracking and internal consumption. Items have Available for sale, Available for purchase, a read-only Track inventory (controlled by the item type) and a Default internal-consumption account; Settings → Account Defaults has a Default internal-consumption expense account. See Products & Services and Connecting SolaCount and SolaStock.
6 to 9 October
- Receiving goods on supplier bills. For SolaStock-connected organizations: send a bill for receiving, post and receive in one step, partial receipts, retry delivery, an inbox of receipts needing attention, receiving history, invoice-first matching with Billed Goods Awaiting Receipt, and stale-edit protection. See Receiving goods on supplier bills.
- Financial supplier credits and supplier returns. Price credits without a return, with retry and cancel-void actions; draft debit notes proposed from SolaStock returns. See Financial supplier credits and Debit notes.
- Stock items are refused where they do not belong. Expenses, direct pay, purchase-order receiving and manual journals on the inventory control account are refused for SolaStock-owned items and accounts. See Expenses and Journal entries.
- Purchases and bank lists polished (8 October). Shared list layout, AP columns that fit 1440 px (Supplier ref., Due Date with an overdue hint, Receiving progress on purchase orders), and a redesigned cash account page. See Bills, Purchase orders, Suppliers and Banking.
- VAT settings card (6 October) in General Settings, locked after posted transactions; with VAT Enabled off, new bill lines cannot add tax. See Taxes & VAT.
- Cached readiness check (7 October). The SolaStock readiness check no longer runs on every tab switch. See Connecting SolaCount and SolaStock.
5 October
- Year-end re-close. Closing a reopened year again posts a re-close adjustment for the new activity instead of reusing the old journal. See Fiscal years, periods and lock dates.
- VAT return confirmations. File, Pay, Process Refund and Carry Forward ask for confirmation. See Taxes & VAT.
- Bank reconciliation and import show the server's specific reason instead of a generic failure. See Banking.
What to do after these changes
- Open Purchases Overview and the AP Aging Summary for today and check that Bills Payable and the aging total agree; use the reconciliation block for any difference.
- If you use SolaStock: set the Default internal-consumption expense account in Account Defaults, and review a stock bill's Receiving and supplier billing panel before the next purchase run.
- Set First VAT Period Start in organization setup step 2 before creating your first VAT return.
- Re-run your usual exports (bills, bank summary, asset register): the headings and totals now follow the page language and the screen.
