SolaAI is Solavel's built-in assistant inside SolaCount. It works in two places. The assistant at the bottom of the rail answers "how do I…" questions from the Solavel documentation. The financial briefing on the Dashboard summarizes your organization's figures and suggests a next step.
Where to find it
- Assistant: the SolaAI button at the bottom of the icon rail ("Open SolaAI"). It opens the SolaAI — Solavel assistant panel. It is not shown while setup is unfinished.
- Briefing: the banner at the top of the Dashboard.
The assistant
The panel shows "Ask me anything about Solavel" and a welcome: "I can walk you through Solavel apps — SolaCount, SolaHR, SolaProjects, SolaStock, and SolaFone. Pick a starting point or just ask."
Ask a question
- Click SolaAI.
- Pick a suggested question or type your own in Ask about any Solavel app…. Suggestions change with the page you're on:
- On invoice pages: "How do I create an invoice?", "How do I record an invoice payment?", "How do I review overdue invoices?", "Which invoice reports are available?"
- On bill/purchase pages: "How do I record a bill payment?", "How do I enter a supplier bill?", "How do purchase approvals work?", "How do I review accounts payable?"
- On banking pages: bank reconciliation, statement import, matching, differences.
- On report pages: P&L, overdue invoices, exporting, choosing a report.
- Click Send. The answer types out. Click Stop generating to stop it ("Generation stopped.").
- Use Copy response to copy an answer, or Retry if it failed.
The footer reads "Powered by the Solavel docs · Answers may be imperfect". The assistant answers only from the public Solavel documentation. If the docs don't cover a question it says so and points to the closest topic. It does not read or change your books, and it cannot post or edit anything.
If it can't connect: "I could not reach the assistant. Check your connection and try again."
Conversations
Your conversations are saved:
- New chat starts a fresh conversation.
- Conversation history ("Your private conversations in Organization") groups chats by Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days and Older. You can search them (Search conversations) and switch between Active and Archived.
- Per conversation: Rename, Archive, Restore, Delete permanently. Delete asks "Delete conversation?" and warns: "This permanently deletes the conversation and every message. This cannot be undone."
- Long conversations keep context. Older messages are summarized automatically so the assistant remembers the thread.
The Dashboard briefing
The briefing uses your organization's posted figures for the selected period: profit, revenue trend, cash, overdue invoices and upcoming bills. It writes a short summary and a Next best action. Open full analysis gives the detailed Full financial analysis. When the AI service isn't available, a Financial summary calculated from your figures is shown instead, so you always get the numbers. Only users who can view reports, accounts, journals, invoices, bills and bank accounts see the briefing.
Privacy
- Conversations are private to you and the organization. They are stored per user and per organization. Other members, including the owner, don't see your SolaAI history, and switching organizations shows a different history.
- The assistant doesn't use your financial data. It is grounded in public documentation only. The question you type is sent to the AI provider to produce the answer, so don't paste passwords or other sensitive personal data into it.
- The briefing uses only your active organization's figures, and it is shown only to users who already have permission to see those figures.
- Deleting a conversation removes it and all its messages permanently.
Tips
- Ask in task form ("How do I void an invoice?") for the most precise answer.
- Answers can be imperfect. Check them against the linked docs page before acting on something important.
- SolaAI is available in English and Arabic, following your interface language.
